Biography & Teaching Philosophy:: As a California native and Cal State Graduate, Ms. Daniels is our only faculty from the other side [West Coast]. Her Bachelors in Sociology enables her to understand the children and relate to them on their level. She also possesses a minors in Chemistry, which helps with the goo and slime that sometimes fascinates Kindergartners. Ms. Daniels has connected with many youth in San Diego as a mentor and friend, supervised and maintained safety in the Community Service Program. She has extensive experience with pedagogy of poverty stricken families while working with the Homeless for the last few years. With her experience and love of community, she is now a Kindergarten teacher for Balere Language Academy.

Her philosophy is basically equity. She makes an effort so that things are fair in the classroom, even though it may not represent the "outside world". As a teacher, another most important role is to assist the students in gaining a better understanding of the subject matter, and feeling comfortable while enjoying what they are learning, without frustration.
